About
BYOAg is an experimental architectural pattern.
BYOAg is implementation-independent and intended to be explored through working prototypes. It is not currently a formal standard, and it is not owned by a specific agent vendor.
The project is designed to encourage agent portability and environment-defined experiences while keeping claims honest and testable.
Origin
An open exploration
BYOAg was conceived by Alejandro Gomez Flores as an experimental architectural pattern for allowing people to bring their own AI agents into environment-defined experiences.
It is being developed openly through prototypes, architectural exploration, implementation experiments, and public discussion.
Project status
Experimental, open, and evolving
The current work is to clarify the pattern, build small examples, identify trust boundaries, and improve a draft specification through implementation and discussion.
Project principles
User agency
Environment sovereignty
Explicit contracts
Evidence over assumptions
Progressive interoperability
Implementation before premature standardization
